Father's Day Indoor Camping Trip

This Father's Day Go Camping in your Living Room!

One of my favorite activities as a kid was "camping" in the living room! It was a challenge to make a "tent" from sheets and figure out how to make them stay in place and then bring goodies inside the tent like flashlights, books, and snacks. I loved making a secret place just for me! Now that Father's day is coming up it occurs to me that it could also be a great activity to share with your child. It's also a way to get away from screens for a little while. Have fun this Father's Day making a "secret place" together!

Indoor Camping Activities:

  • Make a "tent" out of sheets.
  • Read camping themed books
  • Make camping snacks like s'mores, ants on a log, trail mix and anything on a stick.
  • Make a "campfire" out of toilet paper rolls and tissue paper.
  • As all kids love a little thrill, why not bring your scariest ghost story.
  • If you have little ones, sing songs like "Going on a Bear Hunt".
What do you like about camping? Do you have any fun ideas for indoor camping?
